So, I recently attended the Medium Bootcamp, and they recommended starting a newsletter.
Any newsletter I write is going to be a boring read I thought to myself. It’ll become known as something that will put you to sleep!
But anyway here I am… and this newsletter isn’t going to be all about me. I know I am sad about that too.
It’s going to be about YOU, I want to share and celebrate neurodiversity, and I want to educate via lived experience and professional knowledge.
Let’s focus on the strengths-based approach to dyslexia. Often dyslexia can be part of a cluster - meaning you may have more than one thing, i.e ADHD, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, or Autism. The plan is to recognize this and celebrate neurodiversity.
Let’s dispel the myths, educate others and share our experiences.
If you do want to know my backstory the awesome Scot Butwell recently interviewed me on what it’s like to grow up and live with dyslexia.
I admit I have no idea what I’m doing, so what would you like to see in a monthly newsletter dedicated to the celebration of neurodiversity?
It’ll be great to hear from you. Are you an educator here to learn? A parent of a dyslexic child or adulting with ADHD? If so drop us a ‘hello’.
Share your stories, experiences, or any questions you have with me in the comments section…
